Pictures (42 pictures ©) from my visit at Rosie´s little city Essing. Here Gustaf II Adolf at
Burg Randeck during the 1600th hundred has had an administration center. Do you like to know more use these links.

This is the way down to Essing center. Although there is hardly any shops. Essing inhabitants walk here to the gasthouses in the center. Also all cyclist, which Essing is famous for, take this road.

From balcony of Rosie's apartment you can have a nice look in direction of Main Donau channel. Just nearby is the water take up moat. In this they breeds different kinds of trouts.
Ref. 1
This little city road goes almost parallel to the main street and is hard to find for a newcomer, specially as it has lost it's color. It ends up at under the road bridge to Altessing. Anyway Auenweg is the goal.

Auenweg 6.

The kitchen on second floor, a two room flat just in front of the rice pot.
Ref. 1
The most important kitchen aid for a Fili-girl is the rice pot. Standing on best place. "I can live without men but not without my rice pot".
Ref. 1
Near sight of the water take up moat. With good eyes you can see the trouts.

A trip to Schulerloch Cave
We made several trips. Here on the way. It was a too long way to go for Rosie's bad knee. I went alone later.
Ref. 1
Schulerloch Cave entrance
Before me there was a school class buying postcards. I had to wait for my turn to get the entrance ticket. In a bigger part of the cave they arrange concerts. From one of these I bought a cd. It was a special kind of sound play. Not a ordinary concert. Rosie didn't like it. Better with Diana Ross.
Ref. 1
A famous cave in walking distance from Essing. All entrance with guide and you are not allowed to photo with flash camera. That is because of the bats.

Chrystal in Riedenburg
This is a big amethyst cavity. Only showing what nature can make during the decades.

Crystal museum Riedenburg
One trip we went to this museum which have this nice amethyst cavity. Nice to see.
Ref. 1
This is the start of a crystal cavity. I takes a long long time. You are not allowed to touch anything because it will destroy it. It is hard to understand when this kind may take thousand of years.
Ref. 1
This is the next phase of a crystal cavity. Compare with the preceeding photo.
Ref. 1
Here you can see what the water dripping can arrange during the years.
Ref. 1
According to the guide you can here see the head of a crocodile. Hard to see but if you look at the bottom edge of the hole, slight to the left you can imagine the head with the nose pointing at you and it's body laying to the left.

Biggest crystal
Here you have the worlds biggest crystal group. Beautiful arranged in the center of crystal room.

Donau connection to der Rhein
Through Main Donau Channel Rhine is connected. This connection is at the city of Mainz after a long way over the mountains. This is the level picture.
Ref. 1
Main Channel
A photo from Befreiungshalle, looking at the Donau Durchbruch. Don't think that Main is the english word main. It refer back to the city Mainz were the channel comes to an end.
Ref. 1
Riedenburg Klingendes Museum
Here there was also this kind of museum. Hard to find and not so many visitors. You can listen to famous speeches among all things.
Ref. 1
To Befreiungshalle
We had luck because just after our arrivel 2 busses of American tourists came and totaly blocked everything.
Ref. 1
Stairs up to Befreiungshalle
The impressing stairs upp to the "Halle". This is of course done for the visitors to be so tired that they say "Coming so far I pay any fee". I did. Inside, all is made of marble.
Ref. 1
At last we found rice for the lowest price. Packing 3 sacks in the little Lupo. The custom wondered why we must have so much. 4 persons was the answer and I got my passport back.

Eating on local restaurant. Buying one portion, two plates, and divide it into 2
Ref. 1 Kelheim shopping She don't like to be photographed but it is good to have afterwards. She wanted me to have a cover for my ironing bench and then I couldn't mount it. Ref. 1
Cleaning
Every Sunday Rosie is away to clean an office in Sinzing. I had to go with. It took 2 hours so I know the little town situated just besides the motorway and before Regensburg. The town where Messerschmidt had its main factory. Sorry there is nothing left to see.
